Watkins Glen V 2.0 ==================================================================================== To install, just extract the archive file into your "rFactor\GameData\Locations" folder. You can overwrite the files, provided you do not plan to race V 1.0 anymore. Version 2.0 is NOT compatible with version 1.0. ==================================================================================== This is a conversion of the RSDG Watkins Glen track. The track was originally done by RSDG for F1C, and was converted to GTR by Gmilno. ==================================================================================== This is an authorized conversion of RSDG's Watkins Glen for F1C/SCC to rFactor. This version of the track was designed and tested for rFactor version 1150, but does work with other versions, see note below though if you are running 1070/1087. All 3 track layouts have edited aiw's which supports 64 cars in the garages and on the track It also supports 42 pit stalls. ==================================================================================== There are a ton of improvements since version 1.0, thanks to some great people below (PLEASE see the Credits below) Just a hint of what's changed: Countless textures have been updated throughout the track (armcos, billboards, grass, etc.) Static shadows were removed and dynamic shadows added Track now has a pace car Startlights and pitlights now work in all versions Lap counts in Practice/Qualifying sessions are now correct in 1150 ==================================================================================== IMPORTANT NOTE FOR rFACTOR 1070/1087 Users: If you run single-lap qualifying, or lap-based qualifying, then you MUST follow this procedure for you laps to count: Using a single-lap qualifying example - 1. Exit the garage/pit road and run your out lap 2. Run your hotlap as normal 3. (IMPORTANT!) You MUST run the cool-down lap, and drive it back onto pit road and stop in your pitstall. Then hit escape. If you hit escape in 1070/1087 after finishing your hot lap, while you are still out on the track, it will not count the laps properly and you will be disqualified - this was a bug with how 1070/1087 handled garages and pit road extensions, and was corrected by ISI in 1150. This problem is limited to practice/qualifying/warmup sessions only, due to the cars being returned to the garage area - it does NOT affect race sessions, so you CAN run lap-specific races (as opposed to timed). ==================================================================================== Credits and respect to...........
