Hockenheim 99, Germany V1.0 by Jason Peters (aka Damon @ RSC) ---------------------- Credits and a thankyou from me to.... Ferrari27 for continued help / support on various things and initial very base conversion ;) Panoz4Prez for great new track cams MaTi for making the jumbo screens work Everyone for their support and constructive feedback – thanks – it really does make a difference!! ---------------------- Donations This track too many, many hours to get to this standard – much to the annoyance of my family. Therefore if u like the revised track and can afford it, please donate 25p (UK pence) [or more ;)] so I can take my other half out for a meal to compensate her for the hours I spend doing this. This way I will not get such an ear bashing if / when I do my next project. Please donate via PayPal at:- www.paypal.com/ Recipient e-mail address:- jasonunderscorepeters@hotmail.co.uk Thanks ------------------------ What’s in the track?? V1.0 - All new quality high res textures throughout - Hundreds and hundreds of individual new ‘star’ shaped trees at the side of the track replacing the old tree walls - Hundreds of additional new 3D objects added (including 3D grass, tents, cars, marshals, spectators, flags and many other objects) - Revised Terrain.TDF adding:- - Different bumpiness and wash board effect for different parts of the track - Different grip levels for different parts of the track (small changes) - good gravel effects (I think - lol) - Several large real 3D bumps added to the track surface with graphical representation in game - Racing grove darkened by 35% from conversion - Dynamic and static shadows on many objects including trees - Trackside objects can all be knocked down - Night lighting (each pit garage has light source along with a few lights around the circuit) - New video (bik) of Hockenheim99 to play on the jumbo screens - Working Jumbo screens (Thanks MaTi) - Great new track cams (Thanks Panoz4Prez) - Working pit and start lights (as you would expect really) ---------------------- Installation [********IMPORTANT********] * Delete previous versions of Hockenheim99 * Copy the Hockenheim folder into the locations folder within rFactor directory [**********Setting up the AI*************][********IMPORTANT********] * Copy the Hockenheim_**.SVM files into the relevant vehicle directory to ensure the AI work correctly and rename if to Hockenheim.svm ie...... - Copy the Hockenheim_FIS.svm into C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\FormulaIS - rename Hockenheim_FIS.svm to Hockenheim.svm - Copy the Hockenheim_F1.svm intoC:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\Formula1 - rename Hockenheim_F1.svm to Hockenheim.svm - Copy the Hockenheim_F3.svm intoC:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\F3 - rename Hockenheim_F3.svm to Hockenheim.svm ------------------------ Issues - In order to get a realistic looking track I have used high res textures – On some systems these may reduce FPS’s. If you do encounter ensure your graphics aperture is set to 128MB in your BIOS. - The trees are fencing are made with multi transparency to get the best graphical effect – this can cause some minor clipping issues for certain angles - When viewing the cars / track from very high up the edge of the ‘world’ can be seen in some places within the tree line – this is as per the original track. - F1 / FIS (only F1 / FIS) AI run slightly wide in T1 – (Note the AI vehicle setup included improves this situation by about 80% so insure this is installed). This running wide is an AI bug as confirmed by ISI and a fix should be issued in a future ISI patch. There will be a medium res texture pack in the near future for some items for people having performance issues. ------------------------ Other Info: V1.0 was completed with 3DsimED / Photoshop CS / lots of hours ------------------------ Other rFactor Tracks by JP: Interlagos Brazil v2.01 – Dec 2005 – available at the Mirror Zone www.GPLMZ.com Lime Rock Graphics update – Nov 2005 - at the Mirror Zone www.GPLMZ.com ----------------------- enjoy!!
